H&P Renneburg Division Rotary Calciner
Rotary Calciners
With its efficiency and versatility, Renneburgs Rotary Calciners process hundreds of materials in a wide range of industries. Calciners process bulk materials continuously, at medium to high temperatures (500°-2200° F), with an indirect heat source, guaranteeing complete separation of the heat source and the product, making calciners ideal for the catalyst manufacturing, hydrocarbon processing, and chemical-making. The Calciner meets the processing demands manufacturers and customers have for materials that have a finer particle size and uniform quality. Calcining is typically used to process materials that are fine and dusty, sensitive to oxidization, combustible, explosive, potentially contaminating and thermally sensitive.
Specially designed, the Renneburg Calciner consists of a rotating alloy steel cylinder slightly inclined from the horizontally through which the product or material to be processed runs. The cylinder chamber rotates inside a furnace heated by electricity, gas, or oil that allows for exact control of temperature requirements. Heat zones provide independent zones of control, and integral coolers may be attached to provide product cooling prior to discharge.
Each Calciner is designed for specific requirements and unique specifications, and typically undergoes rigorous testing at our Pilot Plant Testing Lab before final calciner design. Special features which are frequently adapted to Calciner installations include: feed systems featuring closed hoppers or pressurized tanks, expandable and dust tight seals, special process atmospheres and dust collection systems.
